SupportPrivacy PolicyTerms of Use

Last Updated: August 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Presage42 ("Presage42," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use DOER- Simple To Do List ("DOER" or the "App").

DOER is a task-management and focus application available across supported Apple devices, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, widgets, Live Activities, and Dynamic Island.

By using DOER, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

DOER is provided by Presage42. For purposes of applicable data-protection laws, Presage42 is responsible for the processing described in this Privacy Policy.

You can contact us at:

Presage42
Email: hello@presage42.com
Website: presage42.com
Address: Taşucu Mahallesi, Taşucu Toki Konutları, 86. Sokak, FG-1, 1-B, Daire 1, Mersin/Silifke, Türkiye

2. Privacy at a Glance

DOER is designed to operate with minimal data collection.

  • We do not require you to create a separate DOER account.
  • We do not use advertising networks.
  • We do not sell or rent personal information.
  • We do not track you across apps or websites.
  • We do not use third-party behavioral analytics or advertising SDKs.
  • We do not use your task content for advertising, profiling, or marketing.
  • We do not send your task content to external artificial-intelligence services.
  • Your app content is stored on your device and, when iCloud is available, in your private Apple iCloud/CloudKit database.
  • We do not operate a separate developer server that stores your task content.

3. Information Processed by the App

3.1 Tasks and App Content

DOER processes information that you create or manage in the App, including:

  • Task and subtask text
  • Inbox and Today items
  • Internal task identifiers
  • Completion status and completion dates
  • Information about tasks carried over from a previous day
  • Daily task snapshots
  • Completed-task history
  • Modification dates
  • Focus-session information

Task fields contain free-form text. You decide what to enter. DOER does not ask you to provide health information, financial information, government identifiers, or other sensitive information. However, because task fields are free-form, you may choose to enter such information. Please avoid entering sensitive or confidential information unless it is necessary for your personal use.

3.2 Photos, Videos, Audio, and Files

You may choose to attach content to a task, including:

  • Photos taken with your camera
  • Images or videos selected from your photo library
  • Voice recordings
  • PDFs and office documents
  • Audio or video files
  • Archives and other supported file types

The App may process attachment-related information such as:

  • A randomly generated attachment identifier
  • The file's internal name
  • The original filename
  • File type
  • Audio-recording duration

Files are generally copied in their original form. Photos and other files may therefore retain embedded metadata, potentially including creation dates, device information, or location metadata contained in the original file.

DOER accesses your camera, microphone, photo library, or files only when you use the relevant feature and grant the required Apple system permission.

3.3 Completion History and Statistics

To provide task history, streaks, widgets, and productivity views, the App processes information such as:

  • Daily completed-task counts
  • Current streak
  • All-time completed-task count
  • Heatmap information
  • Historical task snapshots

This information is used to provide App functionality. It is not used for behavioral advertising or third-party marketing analytics.

3.4 Preferences and Widget Data

DOER stores functional settings such as:

  • App theme
  • Heatmap display style
  • Heatmap color palette
  • Custom colors
  • Widget theme
  • Pending Quick Capture actions

These settings are generally stored on your device or in the App's Apple App Group storage so that DOER, its widgets, and related extensions can work together.

3.5 Focus Sessions, Notifications, and Live Activities

When you start a "Do Now" focus session, the App may process:

  • The relevant task identifier
  • Task text
  • Session start time
  • Completion time and status

DOER may display task text in a local notification, Live Activity, Lock Screen, Apple Watch interface, widget, or Dynamic Island.

Depending on your notification and device settings, this information may be visible while your device is locked and may be seen by people near your device. You can manage notification previews and permissions through your device's system settings.

DOER's focus reminders are generated locally on your device. We do not send marketing push notifications containing your task content.

3.6 Support Communications

If you contact us at hello@presage42.com, we may receive and process:

  • Your email address
  • Your name, if provided
  • The content of your message
  • Any files or other information you choose to attach

DOER does not automatically attach your tasks, files, device information, or diagnostic logs to support emails.

4. How We Use Information

Information processed through DOER is used to:

  • Create, display, organize, and complete tasks
  • Store task history and productivity statistics
  • Provide focus sessions, widgets, notifications, and Live Activities
  • Attach and display user-selected media and files
  • Synchronize App content across your Apple devices through iCloud
  • Recover recent App state following synchronization or storage issues
  • Respond to support requests
  • Maintain the security, reliability, and operation of the App
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations and protect legal rights

We do not use your task content for advertising, data brokerage, behavioral profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following:

  • Performance of a contract or provision of the requested service: Processing necessary to provide the features you choose to use.
  • Legitimate interests: Maintaining the App, responding to support requests, preventing misuse, protecting security, and establishing or defending legal claims, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligations: Retaining or disclosing limited information when required by applicable law.
  • Consent: Where consent is required by applicable law. Apple system permissions allow you to control access to features such as the camera, microphone, photo library, and notifications.

You may withdraw a permission through your device settings. Doing so does not affect processing that occurred before the permission was withdrawn and may prevent the corresponding App feature from working.

6. Storage and iCloud Synchronization

6.1 On-Device Storage

Tasks, statistics, preferences, and attachments may be stored locally within the App's protected storage area or Apple App Group storage.

DOER relies on the security protections provided by Apple's operating systems and application sandbox. The App does not apply a separate, proprietary encryption layer to every locally stored file.

6.2 Apple iCloud and CloudKit

When you are signed in to iCloud and CloudKit is available, DOER automatically synchronizes supported task data, history, recovery state, and attachments through the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account.

DOER uses the private database of its CloudKit container. It does not place your content in a public or user-shared CloudKit database.

According to Apple, private CloudKit database content belongs to the user, counts toward the user's iCloud storage quota, and is not visible through the developer portal by default. Presage42 does not operate a separate backend through which we routinely view your task content.

Your use of iCloud is also governed by Apple's terms and privacy practices. Information about Apple's privacy practices is available at apple.com/legal/privacy.

If you are not signed in to iCloud or iCloud synchronization is unavailable, DOER can continue operating locally, although information may not synchronize between devices.

7. When Information Is Shared

We may share or make information available only in the following circumstances.

Apple Services

App content may be processed through Apple services required to provide features you use, including iCloud/CloudKit, WidgetKit, ActivityKit, Photos, system notifications, file selection, and system sharing.

Apple may process information under its own terms and privacy policies.

Services You Select

When you export completed-task text or use Apple's system share sheet, information is transferred only to the destination you select. Once transferred, the receiving application or service processes that information according to its own privacy policy.

The current export function may include completed-task text and dates. It is not a complete export of every task, attachment, preference, or CloudKit record.

Legal and Safety Requirements

We may disclose information that is within our possession if reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce applicable terms, respond to a valid legal request, protect users, or defend our rights.

Because task content stored in a private CloudKit database is not routinely accessible to us, our ability to retrieve or disclose such content may be technically limited.

Business Transfers

If responsibility for DOER is transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, information under our control may be transferred subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Retention and Deletion

The App retains information according to its purpose and the actions you take:

  • Active tasks remain until you delete them or remove the relevant App data.
  • Completed tasks may remain in the App's history and synchronized data until deleted through available controls or until the associated App data is removed.
  • Attachments remain until you delete the attachment or its associated task.
  • App preferences remain until they are changed, reset, or the associated App data is removed.
  • Recent recovery copies may temporarily retain deleted or earlier versions of App content.
  • A previous synchronized state may remain in CloudKit for recovery purposes until replaced or removed.
  • Unreadable or corrupted local recovery files may remain until the App's local data is removed.
  • Support communications are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the request, maintain support records, comply with legal obligations, and protect legal rights.

Deleting the App from one device may remove local App data from that device, but it should not be assumed to delete information already stored in iCloud or on your other devices.

When you delete a task or attachment, DOER attempts to remove the associated local content and, following a successful synchronization, the corresponding CloudKit asset. Deleted information may remain for a limited period in recovery copies, cached data, or backups before being overwritten or removed.

For assistance with a privacy or deletion request, contact hello@presage42.com. Because DOER does not use a separate account system and private iCloud content is not routinely accessible to us, we may need to provide instructions for actions that must be completed on your device or through your Apple Account.

We will never ask for your Apple Account password.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information, including the right to:

  • Request information about processing
  • Request access to information under our control
  • Request correction or deletion
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Request portability where applicable
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority

Many controls can be exercised directly in the App or through Apple system settings, including:

  • Deleting individual tasks and attachments
  • Managing camera, microphone, photo-library, and notification permissions
  • Changing Lock Screen notification-preview settings
  • Exporting available completed-task text
  • Managing your Apple Account and iCloud settings

To exercise a right concerning information controlled by Presage42, email hello@presage42.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to understand and verify your request. Our ability to directly access private CloudKit content may be technically limited.

If you are in Türkiye, you may also have the rights provided under Article 11 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may contact your local data-protection authority.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the App and the information involved. These measures include reliance on Apple's application sandbox, system permission controls, and iCloud/CloudKit security mechanisms.

No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your devices, Apple Account, device passcode, and any exported copies of your information.

11. International Processing

Apple and other services you deliberately select through the system share sheet may process information in countries other than the country in which you live.

Where required, international transfers of information under our control will be handled using legally recognized safeguards. Apple's handling and international transfer of information are governed by Apple's own privacy documentation and service terms.

12. Children's Privacy

DOER is a general-audience productivity application. It is not directed to children under 13, or under the age required by applicable law to provide valid consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. The App does not require users to provide their age or create a DOER account.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children where prohibited by law, and we do not knowingly request that children send personal information directly to Presage42. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information in violation of applicable law, contact hello@presage42.com.

Use of the App by a child remains subject to applicable law, Apple's age and family-account requirements, and any required parental or guardian supervision.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App's features, data practices, or legal obligations change.

The revised policy will include an updated "Last Updated" date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice before a material change takes effect.

If features such as external artificial-intelligence processing, third-party analytics, or active payment and subscription processing are introduced, this Privacy Policy will be reviewed and updated before those practices are used.
